ABOUT ME

My name is Chiara Frecchiami, founder of the Walkinita project. I was born in Bergamo (Italy), a city that I adore.

After years of teaching Italian I realized that combining Italian lessons with the joy of visiting a new place, increases the learning curve enormously.

I have a degree in Economics but, by a twist of fate, I started teaching Italian in a school in Canada and, once back in Italy, I continued to follow my passion.

I like to call  myself as a “non-conventional tutor”: I’m convinced that learning a language is a recipe of  having motivation, passion and good strategy. After meeting several students with  the same passion for Italy, I realized that the standard Italian lesson did not suit  me anymore, I needed  new stimuli to improve myself and to teach at my best.

My vision is to create a unique experience and a lasting impression for students.

It’s all about a truly Italian experience, language, and most importantly, having fun.
